The 2025 season of the Xunta de Galicia Autocross Championship kicks off this Saturday, March 15, at the José Ramón Losada Circuit in the village of Santa Icía de Morás, part of the Concello de Arteixo. It will do so with the 86th Autocross Arteixo, the first scoring event in a calendar consisting of seven rounds, which will be distributed among the circuits of Carballo, O Castro, Santa Comba, and the Arteixo track itself.
Regarding this weekend's event, the organizers estimate around 80 registered participants, who will be divided into the five categories that make up the championship. This number of drivers and teams confirms the recovery and good health of the discipline in Galicia, as well as the growing interest that began to take shape during the first free practice session organized by Peña Autocross Arteixo just a few weeks ago. During this sort of preseason, the 1,150-meter track already hosted a large group of teams eager to fine-tune their vehicles for the 2025 campaign.
Peña Autocross Arteixo thus begins its competition season, during which it will host two rounds of the regional championship in 2025, with the second one taking place at the end of June, on the weekend of Saturday, the 28th.
