Saint-Georges once again confirms its status as a hallowed venue for European autocross.

The sixth round of the FIA ​​European Autocross and Cross Car Championship delivered an unforgettable weekend, aided by perfect weather and thousands of spectators filling the grandstands at the French circuit.

Saint-Georges offered spectacular finals, breathtaking overtaking maneuvers, and constant twists and turns, in what was arguably the most thrilling weekend of the season.

Junior Crosscar

German driver Henri Haaf, who crossed the finish line first, was disqualified after weighing in below the minimum weight required by the regulations. Victory thus goes to young Liam Kruger, who secures his first European Championship win and delivers a historic first victory for the F&S chassis in the Junior Crosscar category. Racing in front of his home crowd, Nathan Cardier celebrates an excellent second-place finish, while Greece's Iliopoulos rounds out the podium.

Crosscar Senior

A final destined to go down in the history of the European Championship. Ivan Pina Chinchilla claimed the top step of the podium after an epic battle with David Meat that lasted virtually from start to finish. Overtakes, counter-overtakes, and an exceptional level of driving treated spectators to one of the finest spectacles ever seen in the European Cross Car era. Behind them, Vincent Mercier continued his remarkable run of form, securing his sixth consecutive podium with a valuable third-place finish.

Junior Buggy

The long-awaited day finally arrived for young Lunak. The Trackline driver secured his first European Championship victory, also delivering a historic maiden win for the manufacturer in the Junior Buggy category. It was a fiercely contested final in which Ladislav Hanak after dominating for much of the race left a small opening; Lunak seized the opportunity without hesitation to execute the decisive overtake. Eliska Plna took the third step of the podium at the end of another thrilling race.

Buggy 1600

If the Crosscar and Junior Buggy finals had already electrified the crowd, the Buggy 1600 final managed to top them both. Jakub Novotny claimed the victory, capping off a virtually flawless weekend in which he consistently ran at the front of the pack. René Mandel finished behind him, while Malone Feuillade rounded out the podium after staging an incredible comeback.
His weekend had seemed all but over following a difficult first heat, contact in the second heat that dropped him to the back of the field, and a rollover in the third heat. Despite the setbacks, Malone managed to bounce back, reach the semi-final, and battle for the win right up to the very end of the final a true display of character. The duel involving Novotny, Mandel, and Van den Berg kept everyone on the edge of their seats until the checkered flag, with Van den Berg seeing the podium slip away in the closing stages.

SuperBuggy

The premier class also delivered a memorable spectacle. Victory went to Petr Nikodem, who staged an extraordinary comeback after starting from the back of the pack following a difficult semi-final marred by contact with Radek Jordák.
However, the name everyone will remember is Robert Theuil. In the first corner of the final, the French driver pulled off an incredible maneuver: riding up onto the guardrail with two wheels and nearly flipping over, he miraculously managed to maintain control of his SuperBuggy before the astonished eyes of thousands of spectators. After that spectacular moment, he even managed to continue the race and secure an incredible second-place finish.
For a few meters, it looked like it might be Kevin Peters' day, as he had actually taken the lead after the first corner. However, his final ended just after the second corner due to a broken chain, clearing the way for Nikodem. Markus Wibbeler took the third step of the podium at the end of a final that will surely go down as one of the most spectacular of the entire season.
