Eight-time World Rally Champion Sébastien Ogier is once again trading WRC stages for the raw thrills of French regional autocross, confirming his entry in the 50th edition of the Saint-Laurent-du-Cros Autocross on July 12–13, 2025
This event is not part of the French national autocross championship, but rather a round of the SEAC (Sud-Est Autocross Challenge) – a competitive regional-level championship in the south-east of France. Despite its grassroots nature, this anniversary edition will feature a world-class headliner.
Ogier will compete in the Super Buggy category at the wheel of a ex Vaculik buggy powered by a Porsche GT3 RS engine, boasting 520 horsepower on just 800 kilograms. The buggy, developed in the Czech Republic, was tested by Ogier earlier this season in preparation for his highly anticipated home race.
“I’ve done this event two or three times before,” Ogier said. “It’s a special place for me — it’s where I first discovered motorsport as a kid. And now with this crazy machine, it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
We wish Sébastien the best of luck in this weekend’s race — and like many fans across Europe, we’ll be watching closely and hoping to see his debut in the FIA European Autocross Championship in the near future.
