Nestled in the natural hills of eastern Germany, the legendary Seelow Autocross Circuit will once again roar to life on May 17–18, as it hosts the opening round of the 2025 European Championship season.
A Track Steeped in History
Originally built in 1961 as a motocross venue, Seelow was transformed into an autocross track in 1976. It made its European Championship debut in 1991, and this year’s event marks the 26th time the championship returns to this iconic circuit.
Track Highlights
Length: 810 meters
6 unique corners with a mix of technical and high-speed sections
27-meter elevation difference, built in a natural basin for top-notch spectator visibility
One of the few remaining tracks with a gravel-surfaced starting grid
With its historic roots and challenging layout, Seelow has become a favourite among drivers and fans alike, a place where legends are made.
Short retrospective on the recent seasons, broken down by class
Junior CrossCar
Introduced only in 2024, this class saw Daniel Gayoso Vazquez take the win and the championship. He’s not returning in 2025, which means a new champion will emerge. Who will rise to the occasion?
CrossCar
The “Senna vs. Prost” of autocross? That’s how fans are calling Ivan Pina Chinchilla and David Meat. Both are back this year with evenly matched LifeLive Crosscars, promising one of the fiercest duels of the season.
Junior Buggy
Seelow at least last two years has a reputation: whoever wins here, takes the title. In 2023 it was Arnošt Florian, and in 2024 Nathan Ottink. Will this trend continue? We will find out soon enough.
Buggy 1600
This class has seen home advantage play a big role. In 2023, German driver Marvin Holzleitner took the win, followed by Dutchman Danny Van Den Berg in 2024. Will the winner once again come from nearby? Or will the fast Czech squad surprise us?
SuperBuggy
Czech driver Petr Nikodem dominated the past two seasons (2023 & 2024). Can he make it a hat-trick in Seelow? With more competitive names entering the category, the pressure is on.
