ONDRA POSPISIL, A YOUNG CZECH DRIVER PROMISE!
13 March 2025, Stefano
Ondra Pospsil (Czech Republic), we present to you a young promise of Autocross in Europe, already a winner since the first categories of the Czech Championship, Ondra last year made his debut in the JuniorBuggy category, finishing already as Czech vice champion of the category.
Talking about last season, two fantastic victories in prerov and nova paka in the czech championship, a very positive year being the first in the JuniorBuggy category, tell us a little about the 2024 season.
"For me, last season was incredible. It was my first year in junior buggy and i didn’t know what to expect. I placed second in the third race, which was very surprising. Přerov track isn’t one of my favorite but I did very well there this year. In Přerov was my first win and it was very exciting, surprising and emotional for me and also for the whole team because we really didn’t expect to win . We went to Nová Paka with higher expectations. Win in Nová Paka was like a dream. There were big fights with Eliška Plná but i was able to keep her behind me. I think the luck that has been with us throughout the season also helped me. I really enjoyed the final race there . I came to Sedlčany to fight for the title of Czech champion but I had a bigger point loss to the first Eliška Plná. After a successful race on one of my favorite tracks, I finished second and won the title of vice-champion of the Czech Republic. The whole season was one big surprise. No one on my team expected it to turn out this well. It was one of the
best seasons."
How are you preparing for next season and what are your main goals for the upcoming season?
"I am so excited for the new season. We will have new buggy from Alfa racing factory and we will participate in the European Championship. We hope that we will be able to compete in all races of the Czech Republic Championship and we also plan to go to all the races at the European Championships. I think next season will be harder and more complicated. I don't know the European tracks at all so I will be at a disadvantage but i am more and more excited. In winter i am not training, we are mainly preparing the car."
