Cunewalde, Germany – The fourth round of the 2025 FIA European Autocross Championship concluded with breathtaking intensity at the legendary Matschenberg Offroad Arena. Known for its brutal terrain and demanding layout, the Saxony-based circuit delivered dramatic twists and fierce battles across every class—shaking up the overall standings and raising the stakes for the remainder of the season.

Super Buggy: Zdenek Antony Untouchable, Stubbe’s Misfortune Shakes Up the Standings

Reigning champion Zdenek Antony of the Czech Republic was in a league of his own, showcasing dominant pace and composure to claim a convincing victory. Fellow Czech Petr Nikodem secured second place, while local favorite Marco Fürst thrilled the home crowd by taking third, capitalizing on track familiarity and the misfortunes of others.

One of the biggest upsets of the weekend came in the semi-finals, where German title contender Bernd Stubbe suffered a heartbreaking DNF, missing out on the final and consequently relinquishing his lead in the championship standings. The title fight just got tighter and more unpredictable.

Buggy 1600: Mandel Builds Momentum with Back-to-Back Wins

Rene Mandel (F&S Chassis) took a second consecutive victory in the fiercely competitive Buggy 1600 class, holding off intense pressure from Styn Jaspers throughout the final. Mandel’s composure under fire has now earned him a solid 28-point lead in the standings over Danny Van Den Berg. Czech racer Jakub Novotny completed the podium with a consistent and smart drive.

Junior Buggy: Eliska Pytlounova and Martin Kolomy Makes a Photo Finish

In one of the most dramatic races of the weekend, Czech rising star Eliska Pytlounova delivered a standout performance to secure victory in the Junior Buggy class. Outpacing fellow countrymen Martin Kolomy and Ladislav Hanak, the top three crossed the line within one second of each other after seven adrenaline-charged laps. A true showcase of talent and nerves of steel.

CrossCar: Ivan Pina Strikes Back, Championship Battle Heats Up

Spain’s Ivan Pina Chinchilla returned to winning form in the CrossCar category, earning a crucial victory that brings him to the top of the overall standings. Valentin Comte celebrated his first podium of the season with a strong second-place finish after early setbacks this year, while David Meat of France grabbed third.

With only three points separating Pina and Meat in the standings, fans can expect an electrifying battle in the rounds to come.

CrossCar Junior: Oscar Fuertes Climbs to the Top

Oscar Fuertes delivered a composed and confident drive to claim victory in the CrossCar Junior category. He was followed by Iago Rodriguez in second and Enzo Perrot of France in third. Thanks to his consistency and regular top-four finishes, Fuertes now leads the championship as the series enters a crucial midseason phase.
