The MECCA of Autocross is ready to host European Autocross!
2 July 2025, Ronalds
Nová Paka, Czech Republic – The FIA European Autocross Championship continues its summer tour with Round 5 set to roar into the famed Nová Paka off-road circuit from July 4–6, 2025. As the only European Championship round on that weekend, the event is guaranteed to draw top drivers and fans from across the continent. Carved into the forested Štikovská rokle ravine, the 930-meter clay-and-sand venue is known for its long high-speed straights and steep banked turns. It promises an action-packed weekend across five high-octane classes: SuperBuggy, Buggy1600, JuniorBuggy, Cross Car.
The track’s clay-sand surface and its natural amphitheater layout lets spectators see almost the entire course. As a result, Nová Paka regularly attracts the largest entry lists in the European Championship and has long been a fan-favorite stop on the series.

CrossCar – A Battle of Titans Returns to Nova Paka
The CrossCar category made its Nova Paka debut in 2022, where Frenchman David Meat claimed a memorable victory. The category skipped this iconic venue in 2023 but returned in 2024 with a bang—another Frenchman, Valentin Comte, stood at the top of the podium.
What can we expect this year? Without a doubt—intense, nail-biting battles for podium positions. The spotlight once again shines on two fierce rivals: Ivan Pina Chinchilla and David Meat. Just like in 2023, their on-track duels promise to reach new heights of drama and unpredictability.
Will the legendary Nova Paka circuit witness yet another chapter in their rivalry? And will the home drivers, cheered on by passionate Czech fans, bring unexpected surprises? One thing is certain—the fight for glory is wide open.
Junior Buggy – Czech dominant will continue?
The Junior Buggy category has long been dominated by Czech talent—and 2024 is no exception. Czech drivers like Martin Kolomy and Ladislav Hanak lead the way, currently tied at the top of the standings.
But the competition is heating up. French driver Malone Feuillade and several determined Dutch racers are pushing hard, challenging the local heroes at every turn. Feuillade trails the leaders by just eight points, setting the stage for thrilling, no-holds-barred duels in Nova Paka.
Expect relentless action until the final corner of the final lap—this one’s going to be intense.
Buggy 1600 – The Czech Fortress Faces Foreign Fire
As in Junior Buggy, the Buggy 1600 category in Nova Paka typically sees strong performances from Czech drivers like Jakub Novotny, Vaclav Kindl, and Arnost Florian. But if last season taught us anything, it’s that the unexpected is always around the corner.
In 2023, it was Dutchman Mervin Klaassen who shocked the field and took the win. And with German speedster René Mandel currently leading the championship, and Czech hopefuls struggling to find early-season form, Nova Paka might be the stage for another dramatic upset.
Here, victory is never guaranteed—until the final flag falls.
Super Buggy – Legends, Horsepower, and the Roar of a Comeback
Super Buggy at Nova Paka is always a fan favorite. The blistering speed and raw power of these machines are simply breathtaking. While Czech drivers are traditionally the frontrunners, history tells a different story.
In 2023, the podium featured no home drivers. Instead, it was Mike Bartelen and the lightning-fast French duo Vincent Mercier and Robert Theuil who stole the spotlight.
But this year, the stakes are even higher. Why? Because Bernd Stubbe—the ten-time European champion—is back. The German legend returns to the European Autocross Championship in pursuit of his eleventh title.
With international contenders rising and Stubbe’s comeback firing up the grid, Nova Paka is set for a Super Buggy showdown of historic proportions.
As the summer sun hits full stride and engines thunder into action, all eyes turn to the Czech Republic's legendary autocross battleground—Štikovská rokle in Nová Paka. With championship momentum building and fierce rivalries intensifying, Round 5 of the FIA European Autocross Championship is set to ignite a weekend of pure off-road passion, power, and precision.
