Let's discover the Dutch Team's program!

20 February 2026, Stefano

Maashorst Team, one of the most competitive, professional, and passionate teams in the world of autocross.

In recent years, the Dutch team has participated in every European Autocross Championship race with three / four buggies.

Many successes, victories, misfortunes, and crash perhaps all it takes is a little luck to dream big and win a title!

We spoke with one of the team's owners, Henk Smits, who confirmed his team's presence in 2026, in all 12 races.

Let's start with the two youngest drivers: Bram Cuenen, a very young driver who made his debut in the JuniorBuggy category in 2025, with a strong podium finish in Saint-Igny, France.
He will continue to compete this season, driving his Alfa Racing JuniorBuggy.

Bram's brother, Joep Cuenen, now an experienced driver in the JuniorBuggy category, saw significant growth in 2024, with several victories and podiums. Expectations were even higher in 2025. Unfortunately, due to some bad luck, he failed to finish on the podium in the final standings, but he did manage to win the final round in Portugal. We can't wait to see him in this intense season (still in the JuniorBuggy / Alfa Racing category).

Let's move on to the Buggy 1600 category: Styn Jaspers, born in 2002, Vice European Champion in 2022, with many successes and many unlucky races. He's a driver who can aim for the title, thanks to his fantastic driving, especially on tracks where his competitors don't find the right feeling; he finds it immediately.
Styn will be one to watch this year, confirming his presence in the Buggy 1600 category.

Teun Van Asten concluded the 2025 season with a fantastic podium finish at Foz Cóa in the premier SuperBuggy class.
A great driver, on all tracks and in all conditions, we can't wait to see him at Seelow, again with his Alfa Racing Superbuggy.
