Martin Kolomy: The 2024 season was, in a word, successful!

24 February 2025, Ronalds

Junior Buggy class 2024 season medalist Martin Kolomy shared a brief overview of his 2024 season in an interview with AX MAGAZINE ITALIA but chose to keep his plans for 2025 under wraps for now. Stay tuned!

"The 2024 season was, in a word, successful. I finished 3rd in the European Championship and 4th in the National Championship. Overall, it was a strong season. We performed well, particularly since Seelow, but encountered some issues that cost us good positions. Despite those setbacks, the season as a whole was positive.

However, there were many difficult moments. As I started competing for top positions, I was unfairly targeted seen as the "black Peter" and was even disqualified after a victory. Those were the hardest moments, making me lose some love for a sport I once enjoyed. I believe Autocross is a contact sport of course, fair play matters, but it’s not ballet.

As for 2025, I have no concrete plans. I won’t be competing in the full season, and if I do race, it will only be in selected events but nothing is decided yet."

We hope to see Martin back on the track next season!
