During Saturday evening at the Off-Road Awards Ceremony we had the opportunity to have a few words with Gunars as well as the FIA ​​Race Director of the European Autocross Championship!

 
"About 2024, simply put it has been an incredible year, well there are so many things to say but I will only tell you one. 

We start the season with great expectations, we made some strategic decisions and as a result an exciting season was expected. But in the end there are many things and above all a lot more work than expected, first of all with the increase in entries we understood that with so many drivers, managing them becomes difficult, but in any case there is the example of St Georges and Nova Paka which ended with some good races with many cars and this is really exciting especially for the spectators and for the drivers.
Obviously we have to think about improving and what to do when even more riders arrive.

I will leave the door open for new challenges, I would like to say one thing about autocross, it is a sport you never know what can happen and I also learned something new at every event!

I definitely have to thank the drivers who are challenging me to improve myself and my team.

I think I'm one of the luckiest guys, as I get to work in autocross, which is a big family with a lot of passion.

I really enjoy this job and really appreciate all the autocross service!"

"Per quanto riguarda il 2024, in parole semplici è stato un anno incredibile, beh ci sono così tante cose da dire ma ve ne dirò solo una. 

Iniziamo la stagione con grandi aspettative, abbiamo preso qualche decisione strategica di conseguenza si prospettava una stagione emozionante. Ma alla fine ci sono tante cose e soprattutto tanto lavoro più del previsto, prima di tutto con l'aumento degli iscritti abbiamo capito che con così tanti piloti, gestirli, diventa difficile, ma comunque c'è l'esempio di st Georges e nova Paka che si sono concluse delle belle gare con molte macchine e questo è davvero emozionante soprattutto per gli spettatori e per i piloti.
Ovviamente dobbiamo pensare a migliorare e cosa fare quando arriveranno ancora più piloti.

Lascerò la porta aperta per nuove sfide, vorrei dire una cosa sull'autocross, è uno sport che non sai mai cosa può succedere ed anche io ad ogni evento ho imparato qualcosa di nuovo!

Devo ringraziare sicuramente i piloti che mi stanno sfidando per migliorare me stesso e la mia squadra.

Penso di essere uno dei ragazzi più fortunati, dato che posso lavorare nell'autocross, ovvero una grande famiglia con grande passione.

Mi piace davvero questo lavoro e apprezzo moltissimo tutto il servizio dell'autocross!"
