Class by Class: What to Expect in Mollerussa

CrossCar: Redemption or Repeat Glory?

In the CrossCar category, David Meat claimed a dominant victory in Mollerussa during the 2024 season and now 2025 season finds himself locked in a fierce battle for the championship title. His main rival, Spanish driver Iván Pina Chinchilla, is hungry for redemption after last year’s disappointment, when he finished only 36th on the same track.
Last season, Juan José Moll Hernández secured second place in Mollerussa, followed by Vincent Mercier in third — both aiming to improve their results as the 2025 season reaches its climax.

Junior Buggy: Young Talents, Fierce Rivalries

The Junior Buggy class delivered one of the season’s biggest surprises, as Joep Cuenen stormed to victory in 2024 season Mollerussa. Despite his success there, Cuenen’s 2025 season has been uneven, placing him currently sixth overall.
Eliska Plná crossed the line in second place last year, while French driver Malone Feuillade took third. Feuillade now finds himself in an intense title duel with Ladislav Hanák, who is contesting his first full FIA European Autocross Championship season. This will also mark Hanák’s debut in Mollerussa.
Unfortunately, title contender Martin Kolomý is out of the battle for the crown after sustaining an injury during the Czech Championship round in Sedlčany.

Buggy 1600: Six Points Between Glory and Defeat

In Buggy 1600, last year’s Mollerussa winner Styn Jaspers triumphed ahead of Bart van der Putten and Markus Wibbeler. This year, the spotlight falls on the fierce championship battle between Jakub Novotný and René Mandel, separated by just six points heading into the Mollerussa round.
Behind them, a heated fight for the third podium spot adds extra tension — Rudy van Buren holds 139 points, closely chased by Styn Jaspers (134 pts) and Danny van den Berg (132 pts). Every corner, every start, every overtaking move will count!

Super Buggy: The Titans Clash Once Again

In the premier Super Buggy class, Latvian driver Ervīns Grencis conquered Mollerussa last season, followed by Robert Theuil and Gijs Kovac.
This year, all eyes are on the Czech duel between Petr Nikodem and Zdeněk Antony — separated by just 13 points with two rounds remaining. It’s a tense but not insurmountable gap, setting the stage for a spectacular fight to the finish.
